Donna Alteen
Founder, CEO
Donna Alteen is the Founder and CEO of Time & Space Media. With over 35 years of experience, Donna is a highly accomplished leader who has steered her professional team and shaped the strategic vision of the organization amidst an ever-changing marketplace. Her expertise lies in collaborating with national and international brands in sectors such as Consumer Packaged Goods, Education, Tourism, Communications, and Entertainment, providing strategic insights and solutions.
Donna’s educational background includes a Business degree from Acadia University, complemented by executive studies at renowned institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Rotman’s School of Management. In 2017, she achieved the ICD.D designation, further enhancing her credentials. She also actively participates in professional organizations and serves on the board for various community programs.
She has been has recognized with a Women of Distinction Award for Entrepreneurship.
Shawn Lowe
President
Shawn brings a deep history of developing meaningful strategic partnerships to Time & Space, where he leads the day-to-day operations of the organization. He oversees the company’s corporate strategy and provides leadership to sales and partnership initiatives.
Prior to joining Time & Space Media, Shawn was the head of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) products for a publicly-traded organization, where he led the development and rapid growth of a product line utilized by thousands of Canadian SMB’s.
Shawn’s expertise spans Product Development, G2M Strategy, Delivery, Strategic Direction and beyond. Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in Marketing from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University.
He is also an active mentor and a chair with IAB Canada.
Ryan Casey
Director, Media Operations
Ryan leads Media Operations for Time & Space which includes media innovation, performance and partnerships, implementation of new tools and processes, as well as hiring and training across the agency.
At Time & Space since 2017, Ryan has developed his skills as both an account lead and subject matter expert in digital media conducting research, strategy, client service, and campaign execution for Cavendish Farms, Irving Consumer Products (Royale), Nova Scotia Power, Entrepreneur’s Organization Atlantic, Halifax Convention Centre and many others.
Ryan is an active member of the IAB Canada Atlantic Council and has participated as a judge for the Canadian Marketing Association in Innovative Media. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing from St. Francis Xavier University, as well as various industry certifications, including a MarketingWeek MBA. He is also certified in Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook (Meta) Blueprint.
Jimmy Billard
Director, Corporate Services
Jimmy currently leads the Corporate Services team for Time & Space which includes Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Special Projects.
Jimmy started with the firm as Controller and quickly took on more complex strategic initiatives particularly around digital transformation. He is always a resource to lean on and has a passion for solving problems utilizing technology and fresh thinking.
Prior to Time & Space, Jimmy held Finance roles in the Canadian North in industries including auditing, aviation, engineering, logistics, construction, and education.
